Hardwood flooring should acclimate in the installation room for 3-5 days. This allows the wood to adjust to the room's humidity and temperature, preventing warping after installation.
What is the best width for hardwood flooring?
For most rooms, 3-1/4" to 5" planks work well. Narrower strips (2-1/4") are traditional and work in smaller rooms, while wider planks (7"+) create a modern look but show more movement.
